![]() I see by looking at all the reviews that they seem to be pretty targeted on who gets better treatment. Needless to say I have called all our other properties and we will make sure we end all of our business ties with Lonestar Solar Screens. Jim then got on the phone and said he would not be placing my order and it wasnt any of my business who was his boss - he was his own boss. When I asked for Jims supervisor I was put on hold and when I asked who was in charge I was told they couldnt give out that information. They said they found my order and they could have it ready the next day, great. Jim later called me and asked me if I wanted to put the order in and when I said I would call him back he hung up! Rude! So unprofessional!! I called back the next day to ask for someone elses help- I did not and was not going to work with Jim Berner as he was rude. I told them I would call them back and hung up. I was frustrated with them as they seemed to pass the blame on me rather than accepting their responsibility. But while on the phone I was told I was wrong with my measurements even though they had come out to measure and I already had their bid sent to me and nothing was said then. I called on Wednesday to check on the status and they had misplaced my order and had not started, no big deal since they could make them quick. I ordered screens for our business last week and was told they would be ready by Tuesday. Although simply because of the verbal statements made and what was said at the time of payment, I can Not recommend Lone Star Solar Screens.ĭo not use this company as they are unprofessional and rude. So to summarize the screens do look nice, the installation team was Great, the sales rep and the office manager are pleasant to deal with. ![]() A little dawn a brush and a pressure washer you can wash your windows yourself. Second, one of the reps that answers the phones named Paul who supposedly has been in sales over twenty years (I dont know how) is rude, obnoxious and not someone I would ever do business with!! When youre paying over $1000 for Solar screens your experience should be nothing short of Awesome! Especially if you know it cost about $50 (fifty) a window to do it yourself. They also charge $7 a window to wash them and I already found a better price. After all, you wont be washing the outside of them very often after installation is complete, considering theyre screwed in. ![]() That being said first, they should be recommending washing your windows prior to installation. Roy is a very good sales rep, the office manager Jim is very attentive and the installation team were very efficient. I would give this company one (1) star. However all the way up to the installation it was a good experience. If you are the owner of this company, you might need to address this. ![]() Those are the facts and Jim lost our business. Manager of a company = stands behind his lying team and in return calls the customer a liar. Phone call log = no missed call, NEST cameras = no one came to my door. Of course I didnt entertain all that past this point. He then continued to horribly represent the company by telling me I could call one of the service guys who actually went to my house a liar myself, then gave the phone to some Eric guy. Jim refused to let me speak to the owner or provide their name to me. I requested to speak with the owner since I thought he/she might be more interested about how Lonestar is handling business and representing it. Instead of appropriately apologizing for the confusion and quickly getting me back on the schedule, Jim proceeded to tell me that he isnt gonna call his guys a liar and didnt seem to care about keeping my business by saying, Look if you dont want the screens then just tell me because I have customers I am dealing with. Then Jim claimed the installers called me, which I quickly told him they did not and I had already checked my call history. I told Jim that I have NEST cameras around my house and at my front door, which showed the installers checking the gates and then leaving, after I requested for a knock/door bell ring. Jim said the installers knocked on the door after realizing the gates were locked. Waited all day and no one came to the door. Lonestar originally called to confirm our installation and I requested that they knock/ring door bell because I did not feel comfortable leaving the gate unlocked all day since they could not provide me a window for installation. Jim was rude and dismissive of our complaint.
